Nominations Open for TASSP Executive Board

Vacancy for TASSP Second Vice-President and Assistant State Coordinator

TASSP officers are nominated each year by the TASSP Nominating Committee. The composition of the Nominating Committee is determined per Board policy with the committee including a member from each of the 5 areas as shown below. The policy provides for the rotation of the nominee for the Second Vice-President from these regions and from certain segments of TASSP membership. For 2017, the Second Vice-President must come from a Small High School [3A or smaller] located in TASSP Area 3, which includes TASSP Regions 3-5. The TASSP constitution states, “The nominee shall have been a member of TASSP for at least three years and shall have at least three years of experience as a secondary school principal or assistant principal.”

TASSP Board policy also provides for the nomination for the Assistant State Coordinator from an at-large segment of the TASSP membership. The TASSP constitution states, “The nominee shall have been a member of TASSP for at least three years and shall have at least three years of experience as a secondary school principal or assistant principal.”

Letters of interest for 2nd Vice-President or Assistant State Coordinator should be mailed to the Executive Director and must include a statement or letter of endorsement from the Superintendent, and if the candidate is an assistant principal, the building principal. Six copies of the letter of interest, resume and supportive materials should be sent to:
