This program is for ALL GRADE-LEVEL student teachers, teachers, instructional coaches, assistant principals, principals and central office administrators. The Fundamental 5 are the instructional practices that help make learning stick and can be used from kindergarten through high school, in any classroom, with any subject. The Fundamental 5 represents the first line of defense in intervention strategies for struggling students while also positioning academically stronger students to achieve at levels previously beyond the collective imagination of the profession.
TASSP was founded in 1923, and since that time, countless principals and assistant principals have led our schools through good times and bad times, but always in keeping with our motto - “Above All, Students First!”
The mission of TASSP is to ensure that campus administrators serve as courageous transformative leaders and a unifying voice for all learners, through a dynamic network distinguished by: 1. Sharp focus on professional development; 2. Proactive mindset of agility, innovation, and decisiveness; and 3. Unrelenting commitment to student success.
The vision of TASSP is to offer Texas principals and assistant principals a forum to explore the best practices in school administration with the ultimate goal of helping facilitate student learning. Be part of an association that supports those who serve students. Join us!
