TASSP Leadership Impact Award 

TASSP is proud to announce the new Leadership Impact Award for 2026-2027. Nominations will be accepted from current members of TASSP whose program or initiative has proven to promote leadership through stronger relationships, improved communications, and enhanced understanding within their respective campus or district, or the broader community within the current or past year. Nominees must be either a Principal or Assistant Principal from a High School or Middle-level campus and a current member of TASSP. The individual winners will be announced and awarded at the TASSP Summer Workshop in Dallas, June 8-10, 2027.

Key Components of the Leadership Impact Award Include:

  • Promoting leadership at the campus and/or district and/or community
  • Making significant leadership impact at the campus and/or district and/or community
  • Educating the campus and/or district and/or community about the value of leadership

Examples of Programs and or Initiatives Promoting Leadership:

  • Student Groups or Programs
  • Campus/District Employee Groups or Programs
  • Community Groups or Programs

Award Winners

  1. A TASSP Committee will review all applications submitted and will select a minimum of three finalists in each of the two categories: High School and Middle Level.
  2. Finalists will be notified and asked to submit a narrative and/or a 3–5-minute video describing the leadership program and the resulting significant impact as a result of the programs implementation.
  3. One award winner will be announced at the TASSP Summer Workshop for each category – High School and Middle Level.
